What you need to do instead of just publishing a press release about your app is to connect with the influencers and try to get some of them write about your app.
To do this you need to find who is really influential in your niche and contact them directly. For Photo Stats – the first infographic creator for iPhone it meant contacting more than four hundred bloggers, journalists and photographers who are interested either in mobile apps, photography, charts, infographics or (preferably) a combination of these (the more the better).
