How to get into the New and Noteworthy on App Store with a paid app: The case of Photo Stats app
Posted on Aug 16th with 3635 views and 11 CommentsWe all know that the best app marketing is getting into the top apps on the App Store and that the best thing that can happen to your app when you release it for the first time is to be featured in the New and Noteworthy section.
But getting there is not so easy, and many developers feel that this is impossible. Since we at Dear Future Astronaut – Creative mobile development have managed to get Photo Stats app to New and Noteworthy section on 64 stores, including the most important one – the USA store, we decided to share our path to the top with you.
To avoid making an overly long post which no one would read, we have grouped the advice into five posts which and every day we’ll publish one of them on the blog. So, subscribe to our RSS feed and feel free to come often for your daily dose of mobile advice.
In short, you should pay attention that you:
· Contribute to the ecosystem
· Plan your app release and your app promotion
· Publish press release – or not
· Connect with influencers
· Don’t overcomplicate
· Monitor the buzz and respond
· Be honest about your shortcomings (Don’t emphasize them, though) and
· Don’t lose your mind if the start is rough
So keep your head cool and do your best. It doesn’t mean that every app you make will end up in the New and Noteworthy section, but hopefully, following some of the advice from this long post series could help you on your App Store quest.
Please share both your comments on this post and your own stories how you got into New and Noteworthy at App Store.
Next: If you want to have a New and Noteworthy app you should contribute to the ecosystem
